Born in Galicia, Spain, Mónica Pinto lives and works in Lisbon.
At the age of twelve she discovered the arts, as a natural course of their family environment, her cultural and historical references, beginning her way into the Art world in Galicia. At age 17 changed her residence to Portugal, Sintra and in 1996 she set up her own studio.
She has graduation in Fine Art, Decorative Painting, Restoration, Faux Effets and Frescoes at Ricardo Espírito Santo Foundation, at the School of Restoration and Recovery Heritage and Drawing in the National Society of Fine Arts.
Poetic, architectonic and sensorial, her work and approach combines a high level of craftsmanship with Art, Music, Literature and her own passion and vision of life. In 2014 creates the brand MOKKI DESIGN, where objects of lighting and furniture communicate a story to the observer about the material it is made of and the inspiration itself.
